Shayan Elahi, Esq. (Founder):
Shayan is a nationally prominent civil litigator, who has appeared nationally and internationally on media outlets (CNN, BBC, NPR & FOX) to discuss diverse and complex legal issues and issues of national interest. He studied philosophy and political science at University or Central Florida, and received his JD from Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, in New York City. He has negotiated over a 1000 criminal and civil cases, combined, and has acted as an advocate for parties on both sides in numerous mediations.
His interest in starting his own mediation practice developed through his own experiences with mediation. He would see complicated and deeply personal cases resolve due to the approach and attitude of the mediator, who was able to bring acrimonious parties to meet in the middle, and agree to compromise over some very difficult situations. Oftentimes, nobody thought the parties would be able to settle but they did due to effective mediation. He started studying and focusing on the psychology of mediation, and has developed the concept of using whiteboards as the center point of negotiations and mediations. Whiteboards have been an effective tool in allowing the parties to visualize the outcome of their case and move the parties toward settlement.
